Workboats

Sinbad Marine Services has three workboats available for hire in Killybegs. All workboats are approved by the Irish Department of Transport and all have passenger licences. In addition, the two catamarans have full Irish and Domestic Load Line Certificates.

Our workboats are suitable for crew changing, surveys, offshore wind construction support, bird/whale watching and pilotage.

• NEW BUILD  M/V "SMS Coastal Cat" is a 12m multi-purpose catamaran.  This vessel will be a larger version of the very successful "Coastal Cat".  Click on the attached link for the vessel's General Arrangement.  Vessel will available for hire as of early May 2010.
  
• NEW M/V “Ocean Cat” is a 16m multi-purpose offshore catamaran with 7 ton bollard pull.  Vessel was delivered in September 2009.  This vessel has a large and separate conference area within the wheel-house makes it particularly suitable for surveying.
   
• NEW  M/V "SMS Mercat" is a 15.5m three-hulled multicat with very shallow draft of 0.8m.  This road transportable mulit-cat is equipped with a crane and has a deck area of 85m2.  Sinbad Marine Services purchased this vessel in March 2010.
   
• M/V “Sinbad” which is the original vessel of the fleet is a 12m multi-purpose workboat.  An extensive refit was carried out to M/V Sinbad in Q4 of 2009.  This included constructing an entire new wheelhouse and overhaul of engine and all vessel wiring an pipework.

• M/V "Sinbad II" is 5.5m workboat with passenger licence.  Vessel has a powerful 100hp outboard engine.
