Sinbad Marine Services has the following marine plant available for hire ex Killybegs.

Pontoons

Seven interlocking pontoons (that act as a floating workstation) are available ex Killybegs. These pontoons which are 12m x 2.7m x 1.2m each divide into five watertight compartments and weigh approximately 7 tonnes each. They are maintained to a very high standard and are approved by the Department of Communications, Marine & Natural Resources. Three of the pontoons have 700mm moonpools. Four pontoons are equipped with 500mm sleeves at the corners for the spud pile system. The pontoons are road transportable in lots of two per lorry.

Associated equipment for the pontoons includes 2 spud piles x 15m long with 2 x 5m extensions and 1 set x 5m loading ramps. Also there are 2 x hydraulic rams, 2 x hydraulic anchor winches, 2 x small anchor winches and one diesel hydraulic power pack for the spud pile winch system.

Ancillary Safety Equipment

A full range of safety equipment is also available which includes life rafts, life jackets, fire extinguishers, VHF radios, lights, shapes, etc. Also available are Yokahama type fenders, pumps, winches, anchor chain, decking, rails, etc.

Tug & Workboats

Sinbad Marine Services operate a variety of workboats, largest of which is our recent addition, Shoalbuster 2609 . All vessels are maintained to the highest standard. Shoalbuster is a multi-purpose tug/work boat. The vessel is well suited for survey work, seabed levelling, anchor handling, support vessel, coastal towage, offshore windfarm support, etc. Shoalbuster has a large open deck. This is complemented by a 140t deck crane. All crew are STCW95 compliant

M/V Nomad. Nomad is a 24m multipurpose tug vessel. This vessel is fitted with twin fire monitors capable of delivering 5200 litres of water per minute. This vessel has also been equipped with an oil skimmer & 200m of oil pollution control booms. In addition Nomad is also fitted with an eight tonne winch for buoy handling. The vessel has a large state room and is well suited for research & survey work.

M/V Sinbad is an 11.4m harbour workboat of heavy construction with pushbow fender and towing point. M/V Sinbad has a passenger licence for 12 passengers and is Department of the Marine approved. M/V Sinbad is used for many tasks, one of which is as a platform for diving work to carry out underwater repairs and survey work.

Coastal Cat is a 10 metre aluminium catamaran which is a multipurpose workboat suitable for inshore survey work, oil pollution response, rope handling, crew change, etc. Vessel has a moonpool in the main deck area and offers unrivalled stability. M/V Coastal Cat has a passenger licence for 12 passengers and is Department of the Marine approved.

In addition, we have a 5.2m long Dell Quay Dory for hire. The dory is equipped with a 90 HP Yamaha outboard engineand a trailer for road transport. The dory is Department of the Marine approved and is type approved for four passengers.

Oil Pollution Control Equipment

A Vikoma Komara 20 skimmer for oil spill recovery is available and can be used with M/V Nomad which has over 40 tonnes tank capacity for recovered oil. The skimmer can recover oil at a rate of up to 20 tonnes per hour.

Complementing the skimmer we also have 200m of Bohus Flexi 900 pollution control booms. These ideally suit a recovery operation using M/V Nomad

Spreader Beam

A 50t rated “Modulift” spreader beam is available for lifting requirements. This is a modular spreader beam which can be used at various spans according to individual needs.
