IOOA - Offshore Activity Information

In 1997 Sinbad Marine Services diversified its portfolio to include the provision of services to Seismic Operators. Since then we have provided shore base facilities to all major Seismic Operators working in the North Atlantic Basin, including Veritas DGC, Fugro Multi Client Services, PGS and Western Geophysical.

Services Provided to Seismic Operators

Sinbad Marine Services supplies complete onshore logistical support and vessel agency to Seismic Operators, including shore side project management, fishery liaison campaigns, crew changes, freight handling, customs clearance, bunkering, provisions etc. During the 2006 season alone, we have been involved in several seismic survey projects including:

Fishery Liaison Campaigns

Sinbad Marine Services excels in providing a comprehensive fishery liaison package to Seismic Operators. In addition to supplying qualified and experienced fishermen with local knowledge to act as fishery liaison officer/marine mammal watch officer, we also offer an entire public relations (PR) campaign which we find is always essential to the smooth operation of any seismic project. The PR campaign usually entails placing informative advertisements in relevant local, national and international press and placing marine notices and radio navigational warnings with the Irish Coast Guard. We also disseminate all this information in English, French and Spanish to interest groups such as local, national and international fishing companies and organisations.

 

Crew Changes

Sinbad Marine Services has extensive experience in managing crew changes for companies whose first priority is to stay in production. Given the unpredictable weather off the west coast of Ireland, we excel in providing efficent and versatile crew changes for the largest vessels operating off the coast of Ireland. Options for changing crew included helicopter transfer, vessel transfer and crew change at port.
