Sinbad Marine Services complete 2010 Site Investigation Works in Sruwaddacon Bay.

In October 2010, Sinbad Marine Services Ltd sucessfully completed its role in the site investigation works for the Corrib gas pipeline route in Sruwaddacon Bay, Co Mayo.  Sinbad Marine Services supplied two jack-up barges, two workboats as well as tugs, a flat top barge and a safety boat.

Sinbad co-ordinated  the mobilisation and demobilisation of the jack-up barges and  vessels for the project as well as the servicing and supply of the barges during the drilling operations.

The newly launched SMS Coastal Cat was used for fuel/personnel transfers and supply vessel to both rigs. The very successful SMS Meercat also had a multi role in the project. Primarily acting as an oil spill response unit the Meercat was then later utilized as a drilling platform for the core penetration testing.

A total of 47851 man hours were worked by Sinbad personnel with 5847 nautical miles travelled no lost time incidents were recorded, thereby achieving "Goal Zero".
