Sinbad Marine Services is completing the purchase of their latest addition to their fleet with their new tug "SMS Bison".  The multi-purpose 30m tugboat has a powerful 47 ton bollard pull and a speed of 12.5 knots.  The tug is powered by 2 x Bergen Diesel LDMB-8 engines giving a total output of 3126 Bhp. In addition there are two Scania auxiliary engines on board. The towing winch onboard is a karmoy with 1000m of 48mm wire and a tugger winch with 55m of 40mm wire.  On the aft deck is a Heila Marine crane HLRM 35/3S Sert. 7/2000. The vessel also has impressive fire fighting capabilities with two water/form monitors providing 440 m3/hr water.  Sinbad intend to operate the vessel throughout Europe and locally in their home port of Killybegs.  The tug was purchased from Norwegian company Bukser og Berging AS.
