The Komara 20 is a new development from the world’s most successful disc skimming system — the Komara 12K. Advancement in the construction has allowed for an increased recovery rate and easier maintenance, which has been achieved without increasing the size and weight of the skimmer.

Minimal Maintenance - The Komara 20 has been specifically designed for minimum maintenance down time. All rotating parts are readily accessible and can be easily replaced. Components are CNC machined and drilled to ensure that the parts are completely interchangeable.

Minimal Free Water Content - The skimmer free water pick up is typically less than 2% of the recovered pollutant volume, thus eliminating the need for secondary separation.

Viscosity Recovery Range - A wide range of oils can be recovered, from refined products to medium viscosity crudes and emulsions.

Power Pack Option - The standard option is a wheeled free standing unit with a split flow single hydraulic pump. Options include a multi purpose version for customised oil response packages.

Safety Features - The standard power pack has a recoil hand start facility. An overrun and spark arrestor can be fitted as optional extras.

Shallow Draft - Allows the skimmer to be used in beach and other shallow water locations.
